At the edge of Gasselternijveenschemond in the Netherlands, a future-proof and stylish building has recently been added to the landscape. For Mts. Baelde, a local carpenter, a completely new structure was developed in which energy efficiency, insulation, and aesthetics were central from the very first sketch.
The construction was carried out by Klussenbedrijf Jongman, a contractor known for high-quality craftsmanship in new-builds, renovations, and maintenance. The result is a building that fits seamlessly with the modern standards of both residential and commercial construction: sleek, long-lasting and ready for the future.
Refined slate aesthetics with the strength of steel
The façade is built with JI SF Sidings 1000 Wall, an insulated panel that combines the technical advantages of steel with the refined appearance of natural slate. Thanks to its textured surface, sleek plank-style profile and concealed fixings, it delivers a clean and modern façade without visible screws. At the same time, the PIR insulation core ensures excellent thermal performance, keeping the building comfortable in all seasons. The result is a façade that impresses visually while significantly contributing to the building’s overall energy efficiency.

The roof was constructed using JI Roof 1000 panels, a choice that aligns perfectly with the ambition to create a durable and energy-efficient building. These insulated roof panels feature a PIR foam core and metal inner and outer sheets, delivering excellent thermal insulation. As a result, they provide an efficient and reliable roofing solution - ideal for residential and small commercial projects where longevity, stability and insulation must work hand in hand. In addition, the panels stand out for their quick installation, reducing construction time and lowering labour costs. The result is a roof that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Smartly prepared for solar energy
A long-term vision reaches beyond insulation. Baelde wanted a building ready for the next step: solar energy. That’s why the roof was immediately equipped with JoriSolar RS-R rails, the mounting system from Joris Ide designed for solar panels. This allows PV panels to be added easily and safely, without additional structural modifications.
