Located on the newly developed Stepelerveld business park in Haaksbergen, the Wilderink Stepelerveld project is a modern multi-tenant commercial building designed by L&O Architecten. The project is defined by a thoughtful architectural vision in which long-term performance and aesthetics go hand in hand. The architecture is characterised by clean, contemporary volumes combined with carefully selected materials that add warmth and character to the building. 

The use of JI Nature gives the building a welcoming appearance and a timeless, organic identity, while creating a visual dialogue with the surrounding landscape. Material choices were made with lasting quality and reliability in mind, ensuring the building is future-proof in terms of performance, energy efficiency, and adaptability. Large glazed sections introduce generous daylight, enhancing user comfort and reinforcing transparency throughout the design.

The steel structure was realised by Doeschot B.V., a family-owned specialist with nearly 50 years of experience in steel construction and integrated roof and wall cladding systems. With this project, they are setting a strong architectural benchmark within the Stepelerveld business park, demonstrating how functionality, long-term value and visual quality can reinforce one another.

The façade plays a central role in the architectural expression of the building. A careful balance is achieved between warm, natural accents and crisp, contemporary lines. This is reflected in the combination of wood-effect surfaces offering visual warmth and light-coloured steel panels that enhance the building’s clarity and scale, which together create a refined yet inviting appearance.

High-performance façade design with JI SF Wall 1000

The façades are finished with the JI SF Wall 1000 (Microrib profile). This insulated wall panel features concealed fixings and a subtle microrib profiling, resulting in a clean, refined façade appearance that supports the building’s modern architectural language.

The panel’s PIR foam core delivers excellent thermal performance while allowing for lightweight substructures. The system is quick and efficient to install, both horizontally and vertically, and is suitable for interior and exterior applications. Low maintenance requirements and a wide range of available colours and coatings make it a versatile solution for agricultural, industrial, commercial, and residential projects.

For this project, JI SF Wall 1000 microrib panels were applied in our JI Nature - Wood coating, combined with the same panels finished in the color RAL 9010 in Ultra coating. This combination reinforces the architectural concept by balancing warmth and clarity. Together, high insulation performance, durable coatings, and carefully selected colours result in a façade solution that is both technically robust and visually distinctive - perfectly reflecting the sustainable and future-oriented ambition of the Wilderink Stepelerveld project.
